CANTERBURY (WAITAHA) WRECK

is a world-class dive attraction in the

BAY OF ISLANDS.

 

 

 

 

 

Under the sparkling water of Deep Water Cove (Maunganui Bay) now sits the  wreck of HMNZS Canterbury, teeming with life she is ready to be explored by divers.

 

She was sunk on 3rd November 2007. She had served for 35 years in the RNZN before being taken out of commission in 1995.

 

The Canterbury (Waitaha) is owned by Te Rawhiti Enterprises Ltd. The public are asked to make a donation to dive. Commercial Operators are required to purchase a yearly licence or choose the pay-as-you-go system. Download the appropriate form.
